Apparently, the installer cannot detect any "Creative" or Ensoniq hardware onboard. It seems they are in business. I just ordered myself a ES1869 ISA card to play with. This single chip PCI audio controller was based on the ES1371/ES1373 and was register compatible with these previous chips.
